Hello all, My customer has a problem loading volumes. STORAGE LOAD VOLUME requests for the volume to be loaded into the drive that the tape is already in. This was first found when trying to restore a file. The opcom message is as one would expect if the volume wasn't in the drive. TAPMGRRQ has the drive allocated and the process is in LEF. A normal backup operation requesting the tape to be loaded is ok. Enviroment: DEC 3000 VMS V6.1, SLS V2.8, TLZ07(local drive on standalone system) Any ideas? Scott.

Hi Scott, If this is only happening on restores, try turning on the following logicals... RESTORXEQ_VERIFY on the LNM$SLS$VALUES and setting verify on in the SLS$SYSTEM:RESTORXXX_BACKUP.COM Your two log files should then have a lot more information in them. You can post them here if you'd like. You might also put your TAPESTART.COM here as well. Ted CSC/Colorado Springs |
