I have a customer who wants to merge a 2.4A SLS database into another SLS database running version 2.5. Is it possible ? and how to do it ? Thanks for a help, Michel Serve

Yes it is possible, however, your looking a merging to versions of SLS that do not share the exact same database layout. Therefor you must first upgrade your V2.4A to V2.5 or higher. Next make sure the two database do not have ANY volumes with the same name. The volume name is the primary key in the database and it does not allow duplicates. For any duplicate volume names remove the one from the database that you do not whish to keep. Finally you can use CONVERT to merge the two together. \David |
