3021.0. "Celebris 486 BIOS upgrade!" by CSC32::R_IVERS () Sun Jun 01 1997 10:40

    I have a Celebris 466 (486/66) that I need to upgrade the BIOS on. It
    has a Phoenix BIOS dated 1987-1993. Does anyone know if or how this can
    be done. I am hoping that it is something that can be done without
    actually having to replace chips, etc...

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Rodney,

    The latest bios for the Celebris 466 is V3.04. I don't remember the
    release date, but it was put on the bbs/web in August '95, along with
    earlier V2.0 and V2.01.

    What problem are you trying to solve?

    p.s. normally, I would direct you to
    http://pcbu.ako.dec.com/ under Desktop
    --> Celebris 4xxx Support, but our building
    network is messed up. You can get the files
    from http://www.windows.digital.com/~ftp/00-index.stm .
3021.2Upgrading IDE drive!CSC32::R_IVERSSun Jun 01 1997 16:528
    Thanks for the quick reply, Bill. I am installing a large IDE drive and
    I don't think the version of BIOS in my machine will support it. I
    thought I might as well try to get the latest BIOS to see what it does.

    Thanks again for your help, I'll try the info you gave me!

    You can always get a BIOS Enhancer that will support the new IDE
    drives...
