I have a Celebris 466 (486/66) that I need to upgrade the BIOS on. It has a Phoenix BIOS dated 1987-1993. Does anyone know if or how this can be done. I am hoping that it is something that can be done without actually having to replace chips, etc... Any help would be greatly appreciated! Rodney

re: CSC32::R_IVERS Rodney, The latest bios for the Celebris 466 is V3.04. I don't remember the release date, but it was put on the bbs/web in August '95, along with earlier V2.0 and V2.01. >I have a Celebris 466 (486/66) that I need to upgrade the BIOS on. What problem are you trying to solve? /Bill p.s. normally, I would direct you to http://pcbu.ako.dec.com/ under Desktop --> Celebris 4xxx Support, but our building network is messed up. You can get the files from http://www.windows.digital.com/~ftp/00-index.stm .

Thanks for the quick reply, Bill. I am installing a large IDE drive and I don't think the version of BIOS in my machine will support it. I thought I might as well try to get the latest BIOS to see what it does. Thanks again for your help, I'll try the info you gave me! Rodney

You can always get a BIOS Enhancer that will support the new IDE drives... -Tom |
