2932.0. "Pentium underdrive" by TALLIS::KOCH (Kevin Koch TAY1-2 DTN227-4043) Tue Feb 25 1997 15:26

     I have a Dell Dimension P75 with a motherboard jumperable to 75 or
90.  I replaced the P75 with a P90->150 overdrive and rejumpered the
motherboard from 75 to 90.

     The good news is that the system runs faster, as expected.

     The bad news is that the mouse got sluggish. Even with the speed
turned up to the max, it takes three swipes across the mousepad to move
from one side of the screen to the other. I replaced the P75 and
confirmed that the mouse had reasonable speed with the P75 chip.

     With the P90/150 chip in place, I tried tweaking the speed settings
in the Logitech parts of the registry, but that didn't work.

     Any ideas about what to try to get the mouse behaving like it used to?

    Does the mouse cursor movement seem choppy, or is the mouse tracking
    just slower?

     I already tried this. Note from .0, "Even with the speed turned up to
the max ...".

     The mouse action is perfectly smooth, just way too slow, even when
the speed is set to the maximum.

	Try removing the mouse and then add it back. Sounds like some timing
	info is hidden somewhere and the remove/add sequence should fix it.

     That and/or the latest version of the driver from Logitech solved the problem.
