Help! I want to get onto the internet via TCP/IP but I'm not sure where to get the software. I don't want to use W95, am currently running WFW. Is there something out there that will allow me to use TCP/IP? Thanks for any leads or information Mark

most internet access providers will supply all you need. with tiac it was a three step process, after some discussion. probably simpler with wfw. dial in with terminal to get a comm program for binary. use it to get an ftp program. use ftp to get browser, mail, and all the rest.

re: .0 If you're using it to access the office, you could try getting copies of Trumpet Winsock and Netscape. We have internal use copies online somewhere last I knew. Someone remember where?

If you're looking for free software, you can get MS Internet Explorer plus a TCP/IP stack free from the Microsoft Website (they've even got IE 3.0 out for WFW now)... Al |
