Just installed a Packard Bell P166 MMX running Win95. I kept the
old Leading Edge 486DX2-100 running regular windows. I installed
ethernet cards and a thin cable with 2 t-connectors/terminators.
But will I have a LAN by just going to the pb166mmx w95 control panel and hit
tcp/ip ? Or do I need Win95 on the dx2 also ? Never thought I'd have
a home LAN !!

| Just saw one major advantage to MMX:
Over the weekend, a friend bought a no-name HX mainboard with an Intel
P-166 (non-MMX) for $300. Seems like MMX is driving the prices of the
regular CPUs down.

| Intel also pre-announced the Pentium 233 due in June and a whole slew
of price cuts to hit in May97. P166MMX chips should be $275 by the end
of May. I imagine the P233MMX will be close to $700 for awhile.
