| I picked up a Tyan Tomcat III (S1563D) over the weekend with a P133 CPU. Since
this is a "ground-up" PC build, I have yet to test it.
One thing I could not find in the manual for the motherboard was if it matters
which CPU socket a single CPU goes into. The board's jumpers were set for
two-CPUs (the vendor inserted the CPU but did not adjust the jumpers
correctly which didn't surprize me).
The other thing I had a hard time tracking down was the PS/2 Mouse adaptor.
Many places listed it, but only one had it. I said "I want it" they said,
"sorry, $25.00 min. order" to which I said OK, what do you have for SCSI CD
drives?.

| It matters.
THe single CPU should be in the socket nearest the front of the machine
(furthest from the ISA/PCI slots).

I'm making enough of "my own" (the entire PC) - but I should have thought of
putting that together also.
RE: single CPU
I kind of figured it mattered. The vendor slapped it into the CPU 1 location
(as marked in the manual). I moved it over to the CPU 0 location (which is
the same location as the "single CPU" version of the board.
