Hi, I have a customer who used the ANAL/REPAIR on the catalog after he changed disk names. Looks like everything worked but the old entries are still in the database. Should those get cleaed up? Thanks. Ted

ANALYZE/REPAIR never deletes anything from the catalog, it only creates new entries. Although the name of this command in the documentation is Catalog ANALYZE/REPAIR, in reality it's a disk ANALYZE/REPAIR. It would be nice if we had a utility that would clean up old entries in the catalog as well. Barb |
