anyone seen Prine in concert lately? He apparently has a new 'live'
album coming out in April. Not much news on him around here lately...
Also came across a reference to him being involved with a children's
album in 1971 called "Quoi d'neuf Doc?" (ie What's up Doc?) with
additional credits to Bugs Bunny! Sounds like something Prine would do
but I've never heard anything about this album???

| Thanks for the flag... It'll be interesting to see what he picked to
include.
The new Guy Clark live album "Keepers" picked almost all early-career
items; about half way through, I started to wish he'd mixed it up a little
more. - Jay

| order number is OBR-15 for "Live on Tour", $14.00 from Oh-Boy.
it's not available in Canada until next week! I saw a list somewhere
for the new CD, (I can't find it now!) It did look like a good mix
including 4 new ones.
HELIX::CLARK buying new Guy Clark album's, any relation?? Which Guy
Clark album should I get for an introduction?

| > HELIX::CLARK buying new Guy Clark album's, any relation??
I do have relatives in Texas, but (as far as I know) Guy Clark is not one.
> Which Guy Clark album should I get for an introduction?
I'd compare Guy Clark's first album, Old Number 1, to John Prine's first
-- a definitive slice that some will always argue remains his best.
But each Clark album has its adherants, just like each Prine album.
Guy Clark had a renaissance in the last few years, just like Prine (IMO).
Clark's last 3 albums, Old Friends > Boats to Build > Dublin Blues,
maintain a level of quality comparable to Prine's last 3. Can't go wrong.
There's a Guy Clark topic, btw, where you can read other views... # 733.
