Can help me? I have use excursion v3.0 for win95 to login digital 4.0b with tcp/ip. But root account can not login and received a message "root login refused on this terminal" .But other account can login. Thank you [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

This is really not the place to discuss this as it is a Dunix thing. But check your /etc/securettys file. Add "ptys" to the list of entries. ("ptys" stands for pseudo-terminals.) The file should look something like: /dev/console local:0 :0 ptys The other question to ask would be, are you running C2 security? If so, the above doesn't apply. Let me know and I'll email you an article on the subject of X terminal access to C2 secure 4.0x systems. Beyond this, you'll probably want to talk to the folks in the DUnix notes conference. #Gary |
