3272.0. "Excursion V3 hangs with Suns 'admintool'" by PEARS::KARNBAUM () Mon Apr 21 1997 07:11

    Hi,
    
    i hace a customer with problems using Excursion V3 with his Sun
    Solaris.
    All his applications on Alphas and Suns are working okay.
    Only on some Sun Stations there is a problem, when closing the
    apllication "admintool".
    This tool runs okay within Excursion, but when finishing it the
    window stays within Excursion although the process is gone on the
    Sun. There is no way to get rid of this window except completely
    stopping and starting Excursion.
    Told the customer to set the Environment Variables for the Sun
    according to Release Notes without success.
    Also if using the "Remote Window Manager" within X-Window of Excursion
    Control Panel the application finishes okay for 2 or 3 times then after
    the fourth try the same happens again and excursion hangs.
    The only error or warning message that can be received is:
    
    "async select failure detected in WXWNPROC.C error=10053"
    
    Customer is using NT 4.0 as operating system, TCPIP as transport.
    
    
    Any hints or registry entries that might help ?
