Hi, A customer has a problem. He's using Excursion v2.0 over Windows95. He can connect to a Alpha machine (UNIX S.O.) and no problem. But he is trying to connect to a SUN with Solaris v2.5 and he cannot. Afterwards he types authorized username and password he receive an error message: "Invalid operation. VXSERVER WIN95 invalid page fault at module KERNEL32.DLL DE 0137:BFF858C0" Any help, please? Thanks in advance, Lidia

Make absolutely certain that the "Account" definition for the Sun system in the eXcursion control panel specifies a command interpreter other than "Any." Select csh or sh or ksh, whatever the default login shell is set to. When you select "Any" the string that is sent to the remote host contains lots more than it needs to and, depending upon the length of the application's command line, may cause the Xserver to crash. Change the command interpreter, and if need be, shorten the command line used to start the Sun application. #Gary |
