Customer has an UNIX/X11 Application which uses Millions of colors. Under eXcursion V2.1.x on a DECpc Celebris Gl with Matrox Millenum he can only display 256 colors. So I told him that eXcursin V2.1.x only supports 256 colors. Does eXcursion V3.0.554 (=pathworks32) support more than 256 colors? thanks Werner

eXcursion (any version) does not support TrueColor (24-plane) visuals.
It doesn't support any visuals higher than 8 planes.

However, excursion does support more than 256 colors. Just not more
than 256 at a time. In other words, your x app uses XAllocColor to
choose a 256-color palette from all the colors available in the system,
which can run into the millions easily.
