3238.0. "One application prevents use of other X windows" by BIS1::VANDERNOOT (Christian VAN DER NOOT) Fri Feb 21 1997 04:16
Hi,
We have developed an application on Digital Unix by using Neuron Data
software. This application start an X Windows that cannot be minimized.
It works fine on AlphaStations running X Motif.
However, when we use eXcursion 2.1 on Windows NT, this application
prevents the use of other X WIndows.
E.g.: If a new DECterm is started it nevers appears
We cannot retrieve the X Windows alredy opened (ALT-TAB,.)
Is there any explanations or configurations parameters to change ?
Best regards,
Christian

| This sounds a bit like the problem with CDE and its backdrop windows.
In CDE, when you change your "workspace" the new backdrop window gets
built in front of your other windows and hides them.
My advice to you is to run eXcursion in "single window mode." See the
"Display" tab on the eXcursion control panel.
