When I use excursion to open my VMS windows cardfiler with the eXcursion command sys$system:decw$cardfiler, I get an error back that the default cardfiler can not be opened. There is no default sys$login:decw$cardfiler.card file to open, there are several card files. When the name of one of these card files is appended on the same line, it is ignored. What is the accepted manner of opening a specific cardfiler.card file on the host via eXcursion? thanks, Bruce

Please run cardfiler from a vms command line (instead of from excursion control panel), but of course direct its output through excursion. Do you get same error ? I suggest you read the cardfiler documentation (unless this experiment suggests there's an excursion problem here) /Eric

How does one implement the vms command @vue$library:vue$cardfiler sys$login:office_people.card for an eXcursion icon? Anything after the first space is ignored. thanks, Bruce

For the command line in excursion's application page of the control panel, perhaps you can try $ mcr decw$cardfiler filename |
