We don't have a digital unix system here. Perhaps one of you could send
me a username password for your digital unix (or create a guest acct) and
I'll log in there and "setenv DISPLAY" back to my excursion ?

More information. I've found that throwing the display of pmgr V2.1 to
    a DEC OSF/1 V3.2 workstation works fine.

3204.15good news, pmgr fix found in excursionJAMIN::OSMANEric Osman, dtn 226-7122Tue Jan 28 1997 12:2210

Good news. I've found the problem. Excursion was being too strict
about depth checking for putimage. In putimage, the depths needn't
match (at least for the case of XYBitmap), and excursion's putimage
was using a general macro that demanded that the depths match.

The fix will be in the first excursion patch beyond the ssb that's
    about to go out.

    Eric

Thanks very much for the fast response, and for fixing the bug. I'll
watch this conference for announcement of the SSB release, and the
    patch kit that will follow.

    Thanks again!

    Hi

Just a note to remind you of our interest in seeing the patch to the
SSB release (which I am installing now) to 3.0 that will fix the
    problem discussed in this thread.

    Thanks!

    Hi

I installed the SSB V3.0 kit, and still see this error:

    # pmgr
X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
Major opcode of failed request: 72 (X_PutImage)
Serial number of failed request: 2220
Current serial number in output stream: 2301

    Come one, patch kit!

What's the latest on the patch kit that will correct this problem?

The perf mgr fix went in after the ssb freeze. We don't have an
official patch kit yet for the post-ssb stuff, as we're busy trying
to fix so critical cld's to get those fixes included in the patch
    kit.

    Hi Eric

Thanks for the response. Want me to test what you've got, or just lay
back and wait for the patch kit?

    Thanks!

We haven't released the "tima" version yet. It goes out with
pathworks 32's tima release, which is expected out soon. The fixes
    are in that version.

We have a customer reporting this problem when displaying to
	Excursion v2.1... i.e.

# pmgr
X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
Major opcode of failed request: 72 (X_PutImage)
Serial number of failed request: 2220
Current serial number in output stream: 2301

So, are there any plans to provide a fix for the v2.1 kit...
	I had to ask...

	Regards,
	Bruce

I'll ask our v2.1 engineering dept. about this again.

Thanks.

I hate to incur the overhead of a IPMT when a reply in notes will
suffice ( I know notes are not the"official" repository for product
questions... before anyone feels compelled to point that out).

If the v2.1 engineering dept. would like a IPMT, I'll spin one up
	ASAP.

	Again, thanks.
