This is my top priority right now, looking into this.
I'm still in the *very* confused state.
Here are some of my confusies:
o I'm on NT4.0 and my keyboard as far as I know is a PC-style one.
(No F13 or higher, and it has a large "+" key on keypad).
However, when I run xev and ask for keycodes for the keys 1,2,3,4,5,6,
7,8 I get 9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16.
According to the keyboard pictures in appendix C of the excursion
user's guide, I expect to be seeing 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 as the keycodes.
Can anyone explain this discrepancy ?
o For testing purposes, I'm trying to find files isenhdus.key and
isenhius.key, and I can't find them on any excursion kit areas.
But they're mentioned in the excursion release notes. Does anyone
know why these files are missing or what the release notes should
say instead ? (Amit, you may have sent me a copy of this file but
I lost it, please send again or post to this notes file).
o What is the difference between a .TXT file and a .KEY file ? There
are some of each in the excursion "keysym" subdirectory.
Thanks.
/Eric
