| This note accurately describes what I'm seeing on the recent eXcursion EFT2A
and EFT2B. I use an IBM 101 key keyboard and typically use the TPU editor and
character cell Notes in a DECterm window. I find that I can only get the
KEYPAD_MINUS function when NUM_LOCK is off, and each time I press the NUM_LOCK
key to get GOLD key emulation, the NUM_LOCK state is toggled.
It appears that this has been QAR'd, although it is not clear from the base
note whether #697 is for this problem or the other problem specified. What is
the status of this problem?

Remember that we changed qar databases at some point. Here's the qar
from the excursion database (but new excursion qars should go in the
win_product_suit database) :

eXcursion seems to map the IBM key SHIFT+KEYPAD_PLUS to the LK201 key
KEYPAD_MINUS. This only seems to work when not in NUM_LOCK mode which is
unfortunate because the IBM key NUM_LOCK is mapped to the LK201 key PF1 which
is used frequently as GOLD in many applications, and its use appears to
(unnecessarily in eXcursion windows) toggle the NUM_LOCK mode.
I think that the fact that it only works when not in NUM_LOCK mode is a
bug.
Apart from this "feature" it appears to work correctly in DECterms.
However, in LSE (with the EDT keypad), although plain LK201 KEYPAD_MINUS
can be successfully achieved, LK201 GOLD KEYPAD_MINUS can't - it sees LK201
GOLD SHIFT+KEYPAD_MINUS and comes up with an error message.
I think that this is a further bug. It seems to me that it is an eXcursion
bug rather than an LSE bug, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

This appears to be a Win95 only problem. I don't see this with 3.0.540
on NT 4.
