Hi, A customer of mine tried loading new DECnis software image 4.0-2 on a DECnis500 box and the W618 card green led stayed in fast-flashing mode. The modem signals were all unknown as seen by show modem connect line command. He did not ping any addresses to the wan side, but the lan side seemed to work fine (he got routing between the L602 interfaces). He was using the new clearVISN DECnis configurator with a simple IP point-to-point link over ppp. He followed instructions to delete the unnecessary images to shrink the combined file but the same problem occurred. Even with the MPCII card and other versions like 4.0-1 and 4.0-4 in all combinations. Customer went back to DECROU with his latest running 3.1-4 version. From the NCL page of the clearVISN configurator you need to set the number of buffers for your w618 and l603 cards. try:- set device unit l602-3-0 number of buffers 1900 set device unit l602-3-1 number of buffers 1900 set device unit w618-4-# number of buffers 900 ... Cheers, Grant. | |||||
