Hello, theres a question from an absolute OSPF novice. Our customer migrates his DECNIS (about 60,running V3.1-9) from RIP to OSPF. Now he would like to know if there is any possibility to view the existing router-links, network-links,summary-links from his decnis box. He has also some Ciscos in his net, and there its no problem to look for it. The only NCL command we found was: NCL> show rout control proto ospf-general all stat This command only tells him the count of the links. Is it possible to use SNMP Queries (RFC1253) to get these results. I looked at the SPD(SP3605) and couldnt find any pointer on this RFC. Any help will be highly appreciated Thanks, Wolfgang

At least not with any customer available tools. The original plans did have NCL support for examining the LSA database but these were dropped in order to get the first release out on time and have never been re-instated. >Is it possible to use SNMP Queries (RFC1253) to get these results. >I looked at the SPD(SP3605) and couldnt find any pointer on this RFC. Again unfortunately SNMP support for OSPF isn't implemented. |
