Hello,
I have a problem when compiling with the doubled image
of version 3.1-11 (ni031b.sys). I get the following error:
DECNIS CONFIGURATION
CMIP Script
Please wait...
Creating CMIP file sys$common:[mom$system]nis_ordsmsc.cmip
Successfully created CMIP file sys$common:[mom$system]nis_ordsmsc.cmip
Creating the DECNIS combined image...
Warning: The Combined Image is too large for an MPC-III Flash.
Setting HARDWARE flags to load the DECNIS
The combined image is not cretaed. It works with the single image.
Any help would be welcome.
Thanks

| 3640.1 | Probably not the right b sys file | MARVIN::HIGGINSON | Peter Higginson DTN 830 6293, Reading UK | Fri May 16 1997 07:16 | 15 |
Try two things please: 1) try running the combine command stand-alone (you'll have to look in the manual for your platform for the right command). See what messages you get. 2) run mod_flsh on the nis031b.sys file and the output file and post the output of both here. Last time I saw this error, the b sys file had been overwritten by a file which was already a combined file. (Which is why putting back the single file works.) Peter | |||||
| 3640.2 | You were right | LATINA::ALCAZAR | MCS Madrid | Mon May 19 1997 05:19 | 8 |
You were right. The problem was that I copied the file NIS031B.SYS to
NIS031.SYS without specifying a directory, so it was copied to
SYS$SYSROOT instead of SYS$COMMON where the NIS$DECNIS_CONFIG expects
to find it.
