Hello, can i use an MPC-III with 16Mb of dinamic memory (DNSBN-AH) in a Decnis 600 box ? and an MPC-III with 32 MB of dinamic memory (DNSBN-BH) in a Decnis 500 box ? Thanks Juan Carlos Alcazar

I know of no technical reason why an MPC-III, regardless of memory contents, cannot be used in any DECNIS 500 or 600. The POOL card is different between the two platforms in that there is a 4MB and an 8MB board for 500 and 600 respectively. Each card will work in either platform but the line cards will be starved of memory if a 4MB card is used in a highly populated 600 and the 8MB card would be wasted on a 500. |
