3579.3 | The same line is created twice. | GALVIA::thebe.ilo.dec.com::rawlings | | Tue Mar 25 1997 11:01 | 31 |

Andreas,
In the extra_create you have the following
two lines.
!
Create ATM Connection Management Line W631-8-0
Create ATM Connection Management Line W631-8-0 FlowMaster Enabled
!
This is 2 creates of the same object.
The first creates an ATM CON MAN line with the
'default' flowmaster setting.
The second tries to create the same ATM CON MAN line with
an explicit Flowmaster setting of Enabled.
Since the setting you really want is the second, I would
delete the first Create for the ATM CON MAN LINE W631-8-0.
I suspect that the level of checking performed on the
different platforms (OpenVMS/DUNIX) varies, and that the
DUNIX checker is more stringent (better).
From this, I would be tempted to believe the DUNIX checker
next time it tells you there is a problem.
Regards,
Mark.

3579.4 | different checkers | MARVIN::HIGGINSON | Peter Higginson DTN 830 6293, Reading UK | Tue Mar 25 1997 13:43 | 10 |

Mark,
The checkers are different and trap different subsets of the errors users
might make. He doesn't say whether his OpenVMS is VAX (uses the old
simulator) or AXP (no checking by default - I think) so I'm not sure
which case this is.

| Hi Mark,
many thanks for your help - I just thought, 'Flowmaster' is an extra entity.
Andreas
Btw. I used OpenVMS Alpha.
