Is there a way to allow only DECNET traffic from node A on the LAN via DECNIS over the FDDI card to node B , based on the "name" of the object 0 , when doing a task to task comm. and if YES - how ? Thanks, Shuky.

I don't know exactly how, but you should look at the DECnis V4 documentation on "Secure Connections". That should answer your question. Brad | |||||

You will need the new Windows Configurator for the DECNIS to be able to configure Secure Connections. Secure connections allows Phase IV connections to be passed or blocked based on a TASK name or an Object number (or Application numbers if filtering OSI connections). |
