 Hello,




 Managing the bridge entity on DECnis 500 from an Alpha/Openvms host give the
 following message:

 NCL > SET NCL DEF ENTITY NODE SUPNIS"User password"
 NCL > SHO BRIDGE FILTER TYPE *

%NCL-E-CMLRCVFAILED, error receiving command request
-CML-E-CMIPPROB, CMIP error -- Bug in CMIP encoding/decoding routines
-CML-W-NOTYET, not yet implemented

 Is there an other method to manage dynamically the bridge entity on DECnis
 from an Alpha host ?

 Alpha/OpenVMS and DECnet/OSI V6.3 Eco6
 DECnis software : V3.1-8

 Any suggestion would be appreciated.

	NCL on OpenVMS (both VAX and Alpha) have been VERY slow in implementing types that have been added specifically for DECNIS (2+ Years ago!). DECNIS supplies an alternative NCL in the kit to use for bridge and priority management. NIS$BRIDGE_MGMT.EXE If you have an MPC-II then you can use the local NCL, via TELNET if you route IP. Bridge management works OK from an Ultrix or DIGITAL UNIX management host.

	Hello, Thanks for your quick reply . Just an other question : NIS$BRIDGE_MGMT is unvailable in the V3.1 Kit for Alpha/Openvms . Is it the same in the V4.0 kit ? and if yes , is it possible to vest the NIS$BRIDGE_MGMT.EXE of the V3.1 VAX kit ? Regards. Christian.
