Hi there , I have posted this issue a while ago with no one replying.... However, Can someone explain the functionality of ports grouping on the 600 stack and the port based VLAN on the Multiswitch 300 ??? This is shown on a picture in the latest coloured catalog called The DIGITAL MultiSwitch 600/300 Family EC-F7357-42 Rel # 772/97 1997 , shown on page 5 . How do you map the 600 Ports Group across the 300 switch and what about if i have a number of Servers connected onto the MS 300 that need to be on different VLANs ??? The manual does not reflect this issue. Many customers ring and assume that we can support VLANs ( port based ) across MS300. I don't think we do. The picture is mis-leading.
