4442.0. "DR90TS & DR90FS HubManager issue." by SNOFS2::JEYACHANDRAN () Thu May 29 1997 01:40
DECHUB90 & MCM V5.0
DR90TS H/W V3.0 RO=1.0, S/W 2.0.0
Cust using DR90TS to manage Hub with other modules including a DR90FS
module.
He is able to manage the DR90FS via DR90TS with an entry in the manage
table. When he removes the entry for DR90FS in the manage table,
he is still able to manage the 90FS by using DR90TS. All this is OK.
But after some time, when he fires up MCM, 90FS disappears as a module
in the 8 slot of the Dechub90.
1. Does it mean that the DR90FS has to be in the manage table so that
DR90TS can manage DR90FS?
2. Since either DR90TS or DR90FS can be the hub manager, is there any
specific requirement if both are in the same hub?
3. Why does the DR90FS disappear after some specified period? Or is it
some coincidence?
Thanks in advance.
Daniel.

Daniel,
One thing which I would check is if both the 90FS and the 90TS have
Hub Management Enabled. If so, try disabling Hub Management on the
90FS to see if this contiues to happen.
