Hello, Portswitch 900TP in a DEChub1 (Firmware V2.1.1). AUI port connects to the backbone and associated with Group1. MAC is also on Group1. Say we start from factory reset so all ports are on group1. MCM is running on a PC on the backbone If a number of ports (say 1-7) are reconfigured to a different group (say Group2). Ports 8-32 can still communicate with the backbone. MCM can still manage the portswitch as expected. I can also ping the in-band ip address of the port switch from ports 8-32. Now, the portswitch is reset to current settings (or power reset). Stations on ports 8-32 connot communicate with the backbone and MCM cannot see the portswitch anymore ! I cannot ping the in-band ip address from ports 8-32. However pings from ports in group2 to the in-band ip address works. This seems to suggest that the MAC has moved from Group1 to Group2 and the AUI connection is somehow broken. The above condition is reported by a customer and is reproducible in our test lab. Has anyone seem this before ? any comments ? andrew
