4431.0. "DECrepeater 90TS problem" by DEKVC::HOJINYANG () Thu May 22 1997 02:51
Hello
I am a digital korea sales and responsible for Hyundai Motor.
I have some questions about DECrepeater 90TS.
Few months ago, my customer said to me error state of 90TS.
So, I need someone's helpness about this issue.
1)Configuration :
---------------
| GIGAsw/FDDI | --- (Server 2100/NT) NT-Cluster
| | --- (Server 2100/NT)
---------------
Body shop | ** Press, Painting, Ass'y shop are
| all same configuration **
|
-------------
| DEChub900 |
-------------
| \
| \
--------- ----------
| 900 TM |*n | 90 TS | *n
---------- ----------
| .... | | .... |
PLC PC PLC PC
2)Status : In normal operation, all devices are reset by interruption
of electric power(power off and few seconds after on).
So, all devices are turned normal condition/operation.
But some (not all and random in same case) DECrepeater 90TS
devices were not changed normal condition so, operator must
reset the 90TS devices manualy.
3)Question :
a) Why does this situation happen at DECrepeater 90TS?
-Configuraton problem ?
-90TS H/W problem ? If so yes, why does'nt this situation
happen all same devices(90TS or 900TM)?
b) What are the special deferences 900TM vs. 90TS?
c) Would you please let me know the solutions about this problem?
I will appreciate your quick response about this issue.
best regards,
ho-jin yang @dek

| This sounds a bit like the problem described in note
#4421. The 90TS and 90FS are very much alike.
Probably, you should escalate this formally.
