MIB-I is a subset of MIB-II: if you support MIB-II then you support MIB-I.
All of our SNMP manageable products support MIB-II. In addition, the
MultiSwitch 600 Stack Director supports:
MIB-II
DEC Chassis MIB
DEC Public Common MIB
DEC Hub Manager MIB
RFC1757 (RMON MIB - four groups)
RFC1398 (Ethernet MIB for it's MAC)
The Hub 624T supports:
MIB-II
DEC Public Common MIB
DEC Extended Repeater MIB
RFC1516 (Standard Repeater MIB)
The Switch 612EX supports:
MIB-II
DEC Public Common MIB
DEC Extended Switch MIB
RFC1493 (The Bridge MIB)

| Hello Gallagher,
Thanks you for your fastest reply and another thing that I would like
to know.
Does MS600's brochure has "MIB-II" word in ? (Because some vendor
lock specification with this word )
Best Regards,
Tony.

| Hi Tony,
| Does MS600's brochure has "MIB-II" word in ? (Because some vendor

I couldn't find any mention of "MIB-II" in any of the MultiSwitch
600/300 product briefs.
Are you saying that some customers look for the word "MIB-II" in
product briefs?
Regards,
-Shawn

| A follow on question
Do the MS600 repeaters support the eavesdrop and intrustion
protection features of the DEChub 900 modules. Is this what is in
the extended repeater MIB ?
Thanks,
Jim

4344.5 | Yep. | NETCAD::GALLAGHER | | Thu May 29 1997 09:12 | 8 |
| Hi Jim,
Yes, the MS600 repeaters (MultiSwitch 624T) support eavesdrop and
intrusion protection like the MultiSwitch 900 repeater modules.
And yes, these features are implemented in the extended repeater MIB.
