4262.0. "Floating-point error with RMON Manager" by MLNCSC::DOMANESCHI () Tue Mar 11 1997 03:41

	Hello,

   my customer has installed on his Digital Venturis with windows 95
   the ClearVISN, he has problem with the RMON Manager 3.3.0 application,
   when he starts it he has the error:

   PROGRAM ERROR FLOATING-POINT ERROR:

   The field service replaced the pc mother board and the scan disk doesn't
   found errors.
   Have you experience about this problem?
   Thanks in advance.

                                Paolo

I saw the same problem here on customer site also.

Check out if the customer has installed the 16 or 32-Bit version of
ClearVISN. I haven't rechecked this, but try to install the 32-BIT version.

4262.2We have seen it as wellULYSSE::virenq.vbe.dec.com::ULY1::HEMMINGSLanterne RougeFri Mar 14 1997 05:213
We have seen the same problem, both in Ayr and Valbonne. It has been reported to Bill Wade.

I should add that it only seems to occur with W95, WNT appears to be OK.

    I've been working with Frontier on this problem. I'm pushing Frontier to
    supply us with a patch to the RMON 3.3.0 application.

    Its fixed in the Netscout 4.1.1 code but that doesn't help clearVISN
    V1.1 customers.

    Any word on this patch yet. Or are we going to have to wait for the
    next version?

    Just wondered, as I have a customer asking about the problem.

    I have a customer with the same problem on win95. Is there already
    a patch for this problem or is this fixed in ClearVISN 2.0?
