4218.0. "Illumination of MAM display ..." by BERFS4::NORD () Wed Feb 19 1997 02:37
Good morning, good afternoon, good evening and all the times between
such a day has,
a customer and I, we have a small problem:
The LCD display of the MAM isn't illuminated, it illuminates only,
if we connect a module to the backplane and stays illuminated since
the selftest of this new module is passed. If we disconnect a
module from the backplane, the display illuminates the short time
for displaying "module removed".
Where to look and what to swap?
Any help is appreciated

| Very interesting. Never heard of such a failure. This is
certainly a hardware failure of the MAM card (to which your
LCD display is attached). It probably is the only
thing that needs to be swapped.
