4217.0. "clearVISN Router isn't comming up ..." by BERFS4::NORD () Tue Feb 18 1997 13:49

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening and all tze times between
	such a long day have,

having been at a customer side for some problems he has with our
equipment, the customer told me, he is unable to startup the
clearVISN Router ICON. (You know, for upgrading/downline loading some
components of our networking equipment.) I didn't believe it, but it's
	true:

I clicked on the ICON "clearVISN Router", I got a "network window":
"Cannot Initialize Socket Library, Error 11004: No Data Record Avail-
	able".

	The next window is:
	"Error"
	"Cannot Initialize Socket Library"

	And then:
	"SNMP"
"Can not Initialize the Instance of the Networking Window!"

There is no asking for admin and admin, we have installed it several
times on different PCs, pre-installed with WNT 3.51 and all MS-
products, on systems, we have formatted the whole hard disk, installed
WNT 3.51 from floppy and CD, it's allways the same!

The SNMP-Server ICON is up, but no TFTP- and clearVISN Router-ICON!

The system, on which clearVISN is running is a HP-PC, P166, 32 MB
memory, WINDOWS NT 3.51, Build 1057, Service Pack 5, Software is
	AG-QX8CA-BS, June '96 (the clearVISN-CD)

Is there anybody out there, which has seen a likewise problem, is
there any possibility to solve that problem for the customer?

Any hinds, any tips, any tricks are appreciated!

	Many thanks in advance

	Wolfgang Nord
	MCS@BEO@GERMANY

PS.: On my laptop this is running fine without any problems, it's
	     a HiNote Ultra, 475 DX4, 20MB memory, W95, and I'm able to
	     upgrade all I want.
