3809.0. "Flashloader and NT workstation" by CSC32::P_BRADY () Fri Aug 23 1996 18:41

    Hello,

    I have a customer trying to use the Flashloader with Multichasse
    Manager. He is trying to run it under windows NT workstation. 3.51
    I have seen several article talk about NT and win 95 but nothing
    talking about workstation. Does it support The Flashloader. I know it
    requires TFTP and I am not sure if the workstaion supports that.

3809.1NT WS is normal (as long as its Intel)NYOSS1::HERENDEENTom Herendeen, 508-888-3239Fri Aug 23 1996 23:5614
    NT workstation is a normal variant of NT (the other variant is NT
    Server which costs more and supports some interesting things like being
    an appletalk server) but I digress. Did the user set up his
    HW_AGENT.DAT file (done under MCM "Community/Manage Table") to include
    the HUB/Agent he wants to update? Did he also define a TFTP server in
    the Netrider CONFIG/SERVER pull down? He should also check the
    HUBWATCH_xxx environment variables and make sure they point to
    \ClearVIS\....

    Good luck

3809.2There is no NetRider stuff in clearVISNNETCAD::FORINOTue Aug 27 1996 13:2211
In clearVISN you click on the clearVISN Router icon to get the TFTP Server up
and running. This gets installed as part of the clearVISN Core files so you
always have it even if you didn't install Router Manager and/or Router
Configurator.

Note this is not the TFTP Server from NetRider but a different one from
the Router Manager folks. It can perform multiple simultaneous loads.
This was required by Router Manager and that is why we did not use the
NetRider TFTP server.
