Is there a chart somewhere that matches the part ID with the module name? I need to get the current firmware upgrade for the DECbridge 900MX which is the same as DECswitch 900EF. At the web site the patches are listed by part ID. I know the ID is on the module but it is on the inside and the module has to be removed inorder to read it, this will bring down half of a very large network. If not could the web site not have a comment listing the module name. Norm

The older DECswitches shipped as DECbridges were also called DEFBA's. So the image on the web page listed as "DEFBA_161.bin" ... or whatever the most current version number is, will also load to an older DECbridge 900MX. I hope this is what you mean by "part ID", that is, the option name of the product. For the 900MX switch and the 900EF switch they are both known and identified as a DEFBA. The name was changed from "DECbridge" to "DECswitch" as a marketing response to the competitions use of the "switch" in their product names. Bob |
