Hi There , We have a customer that has a large number of Cisco 7000 routers , with many modules installed including AIP ATM interfaces to our GIGAswitch/ATM. They are running ver 10.3 (3.3) of Cisco IOS code and router mgr version 1.0 , the latest one from us. The main problem is that Router Mgr can not show Cisco 7000 chassis in chassis view. It shows the modules, but not the chassis. It works well with the Cisco 4500s that they also have. Can anyone assist on this ??? The second question I have is When will router Mgr decode cisco ATM sub-interfaces ( eg 49 for AAL5, 37 for ATM physical interface ) ??? Does any one knows when will version 1.1 of RTR Mgr be avaiable ?? and what new features will be added ?? Many Thanks in advance,,,, Youda Kopel , NPB Melb-Australia. [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

A question in response to your 1st question: Have you set up the scheduler to include this Cisco 7000 in the group scheduled for the Background Chassis Gather application? My guess is that the Cisco 4500(s) is in the group but the Cisco 7000 is not. Bill | |||||

Bill , Thanks for the reply , BUT ..... Follows is the customer response : Dr Mark Kosten is from Latrobe University in Melb Australia. Can we get this to Jack Forrest to follow up with Stony Brook !!! > Have you set up the SCHEDULER to include the Cisco 7000 in the group scheduled > for the Background Chassis Gather application ???? > > My guess is that the Cisco 4500s is in the group but the Cisco 7000 is not . Yes, they are in the scheduler. Indeed, the only way to get chassis info at all is to schedule a job to collect it. Note that other chassis info (processor cards, etc) is there. Cheers, Mark Youda Kopel, NPB Melb. |
