3772.0. "Trouble with Clearvisn router manager" by GIDDAY::MORETTI (Death is just a formality) Mon Aug 05 1996 23:37

Has anyone had problems loading Clearvisn onto a DECpc 433W which is
    running Windows95 ?

I have formatted my disks TWICE and reloaded '95 four times and
Clearvisn untold times with the same result whereby if I start the
Router Manager application up it brings up the Stonybrook icon and
    drops out.

I have loaded this product many times on many different platforms but
this is the first time this has happened with no obvious way around it.

A few times it seems to have something to do with the ODBC driver but
    most times this installs fine.

    Any ideas ?

    Thanks in advance

I finally found the error of my ways !!!

Just in case anyone else has this problem I had better let you know
    what I did.

I had 2 drives C and D with windows95 installed on the D drive and WFW
    installed on the C drive.

It seems that when Clearvisn updated the autoexec.bat and config.sys
files it was creating these in the D:\WINDOWS directory but the files
that needed updating were the ones in the C:\ directory.

After I copied these files to the C:\ directory from the D:\WINDOWS
    directory all came good.

Just another gotcha ...... need to pay attention more often tot the
    screens.

    Cheers
