Hi there, I got a question about software compatibility issues. Since Hubwatch/Clearvision for OpenVMS/VAX ist abandoned and in ligth of the announcment, that there will be a DECmcc V3.0 version for OpenVMS/AXP by December: will it be possible to run ClearVision/NT-AXP on OpenVMS/AXP with the NT-affinity SW (or however it's called) installed? I'm very interested in this question since it would give me a new answer on how to go ahead with network management for customers currently using DECmcc/VAX & DEChub products. We in clearVISN development will not be making any effort to have clearVISN run on OpenVMS/AXP with or without NT-affinity software. We need to broaden the functionality and reduce the number or platforms, rather than the other way around. jack |
