(crossposted to COMMON_BROUETRS conference) Hi, I need help to clarify combination of DECswitch 900EF V1.61 firmware SW with Distributed Routing SW in DECswitch 900EF. I'd like to use VLAN capabilities of DECswitch 900EF with V1.61 firmware. 1. I assign two different ports of the same DECswitch into different VLAN, so I have two different VLAN (VLAN 1 and VLAN 2) on the same switch. 2. for routing purposes btw two VLAN I need a router, which will route btw. 2 VLAN Question is: Can I use the same DECswitch box with loaded Distributed routing SW for this routing purpose or Do I have to use other DECswitch box loaded with Distributed routing SW and with one interface connected to VLAN 1 and the other one connected to VLAN 2 ? The same question with other words: I have to use DECswitch 900EF either with firmware V1.61 or with Distributed routing SW. Is it true ? Thanks in advance Jan

Hi,
I need help to clarify combination of DECswitch 900EF V1.61 firmware
SW with Distributed Routing SW in DECswitch 900EF.
I'd like to use VLAN capabilities of DECswitch 900EF with V1.61 firmware.
1. I assign two different ports of the same DECswitch into different VLAN,
so I have two different VLAN (VLAN 1 and VLAN 2) on the same switch.
