Hello all,

Can anybody clarify the following...

I know it is possible to have power redundancy for DEChub ONE-MX using the H9591-AA redundancy
kit, but I want to drive two modules from the two power supplies whilst connected for
redundancy. This can be done for PEswitches, but is this possible for DECswitch 900FO's and
900EF's or am I restricted by the power arbitration of the DEChub One-MX's.

Can anybody help.

Kind regards

You are limited to module combinations which have consumption less than
the 90 watts + the other voltages. I've asked and there are no plans to
create higher wattage power supplies. I've run into cases where this
could be useful, but don't have enough cases to justify the development
of a 120W or greater standalone supply.

As an afterthought.......

If the Power arbitration of a DEChub 1-MX is max 90W, and I am 'piggy-backing' two for
redundancy, and a DECswitch 900FO has a max pwr ttl of 53.0W, and a DECswitch 900EF has a max
pwr ttl of 67.5W, does that mean that I cannot power 2 900EF's/900FO's if one of the redundant
pair of docking stations goes down?

Kind regards again...

Right. Each FO or EF has to have it's own power backup. So, you have to
then do a cost analysis against using a DEChub 900 with N+1 power...
