Hello, what can it mean, when on the FDDI-port on the EF-Switch (configured to the FDDI-Backbone on the HUB-Backplane in LAN-Interconnect) the counter 'frames in/sec' is very high (about 90.000)? I've installed a FDDI-Probe to the ring and with PROBEwatch I can see an utilization of about 8% and a peak of 14%. The speedometer in HUBwatch tells an utilization of 20-50%. Where do the high frame-rate come from? Why can the probe not see this high frame-rate? What's about the different utilization-rate? Can you give me some hints? Thanks Herbert

Hi. The utilization meter is wrong. We've spent some time in trying to figure out why. I could be the chip. We're not certain. However, until further notice, please ignore the utilizaiton meter. Dennis | |||||

Hi Dennis, thank you for the helpful answer but what can I say to the customer? 'The HUBwatch-Software is faulty,...???" Will it be corrected in the next release? Can you tell me? Thanks Herbert |
