Hallo, DEChub 900 (SW V4.1.1) with a DECswitch 900EF in slot 8 hung. The DECswitch was still running. Hub error message: Except VO=08 SR 2700 PC=00601AA4 = Failed A reset fixed it for now. May the MAM be damaged, or what does it mean ? regards, Florian

3643.1 | Are there other modules in this hub? | NETCAD::BATTERSBY | Don't use time/words carelessly | Thu Jun 20 1996 10:30 | 7 |
Is it known what type of hub or switch management operation was possibly being performed prior to the hung state? Are there other modules besides the 900ef in this hub? If so is there an underlying reason for only mentioning about the 900ef in slot 8? :-) Bob

Is there anything in the MAM's error log?

The crash PC location is in a diagnostic memory test. Whether the hub was running normal operating firmware or selftest, it should not have crashed in this manner. As Shawn suggested, the error log is important. On the console setup menu, selecting item 5 will show the last 6 errors or upgrade events. Please copy all recent ones here, or mail them to me. Thanks for the immediate response ! I can't post the error log now, because the customer is on vacation. We are going to change the hub completely. Then I will post the error log. Florian |
