3641.1Got same q, how demo kit vars?PTOJJD::DANZAKPittsburgher Thu Jun 20 1996 09:308
    I got asked the same question by our VARs the other day - with the
    licensing issues (keys, etc.) I'm reluctant to part with a real copy
    and key. (i.e. no way)

    What/how are we providing the equivalent of demos for VARs?

3641.2two different questions?NAC::FORRESTThu Jun 20 1996 10:1418
    Jon, I'm not sure that you were asked the same question that Ian is
    asking. The HUBwatch demo diskette is at NAC::NIPG:[HUBWATCH.DEMOS]
    There is also a GIGAswitch/FDDI Filter setting tutorial and a very
    rough PROBEwatch demo diskette.

    The clearVISN demo (not the real thing) is at NAC::NIPG:[CLEARVSN.DEMO]

    Jon, for VARs who want to evaluate/demo the real products, we will
    have to give them the production CDROM and real license keys. We've
    always given people the real HUBwatch and PROBEwatch kits to evaluate -
    the only difference with clearVISN is that you're giving them access to
    more applications, if you give them more than one key.

    We hope to have a key that expires after 60 days for the next release.
    Then we can give those to VARs by the dozen if need be.

    Oh, I forgot. VARs should be able to order the Loaner kits for $10
    each. In this release, the keys do not expire, although the paper
    license says it's good for 60 days.

    I have to get the -LD part numbers up on the price file soon.
