Hello, I updated the firmware in some 900 series module using the new ClearVisn Flash Loader software. I was surprised to not find the old style TFTP server, expecially the "byte count" field, very usefull to know how the down-load is going The actual TFTP, instead, is very "anonymous" Did you plan to re-implement this nice feature again? I hope someone will agree with me about this funcionality. Thanks Francesco

The NetRider TFTP Server you describe with the block count went out with HUBwatch V4.0 and the HUBloader. The newer NetRider TP Server that went out with HUBwatch V4.1 removed the count and replaced it with a blinking status indicator. Needless to say many people prefer the block count. We had to abandon the NetRider TFTP Server we had in HUBwatch for clearVISN because it could not do simultaneous loads of multiple devices. The Router Manager application required this feature so that is why we have this new TFTP Server. For the next release of clearVISN we want to put a front end GUI on this TFTP Server that would be similar to what we originally had. This is the current plan but until we see all the work for the next release we are not committing to this. John | |||||

John, I think most people would agree that even if Router Manager needs support for mutiple device loads, NETrider V1.1 is more than adequate for the loading of hubs & modules. Given how tenuous you were in -.1, can you at least put V1.1 on the next CD until you are able to get the front-end finished? |
