Hi,
When a Portswitch 900TP is first located in a DEChub, will all
ports be available on the thinwire channel by default ? I have a
customer who isn't running Hubwatch (yet) with a hub 900 plus
DECrepeater 900TM's and DECbrouters. We are recommending he moves to
Portswitches but he needs extra ports before the planned implementation
of hubwatch/clearvisn, so he will need to plug in the portswitch and
have it with all ports assigned to the thinwire channel in the
backplane to operate as he wants. Is this the default ?
Thanks,
Euan

Euan,
All front panel ports of the PORTswitch 900TP will be able to
talk over the backplane thinwire by default.
Regards,
Bob
