3535.0. "Hubwatch in OpenView problem." by NPSS::MOREL () Thu May 16 1996 09:47
Howdy,
I have a customer running HP-UX/OpenView who is trying to launch
Hubwatch from this application.
He is able to launch, but unable to manage the device (GIGAswitch)
represented by the icon, and the following error message is displayed:
HUBwatch:
You have not specified an SNMP agent to be managed. The agent
name or its IP address must be specified, either on the command
line or in the resource file. HUBwatch command line syntax:
hubwatch -a <agent_name> -x <adrs> -c <comstr> ...
For more information, type "man hubwatch".
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The customer thought that launching Hubwatch for a particular icon
would also include the appropriate information necessary for the
command line arguments.
- Is this true?
- What file would contain this information for the icons displayed
in OpenView?
- Where might I find more specific information about configuring
Hubwatch in OpenView? I have looked through the WEB page and
have found very little regarding the configuration of Hubwatch
in OpenView.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Yeow,
Mike
