3525.0. "ClearVisn not started" by HGOVC::SHUMCF () Fri May 10 1996 12:01

    When we upgraded the AGL2+ of Gigaswitch/FDDI to ver 3.0.1, the
    Multichassis Manager of ClearVisn could not be started with error
    (exception access violatio 0xC0000005 and address 0x00474480). However,
    the ClearVisn can be started again without the AGL2+ but with FGL2 and
    FGL4 on (all are with ver 3.0.1)

    Please explain will it be the new MIB of AGL2+ not being loaded to the
    beta version of ClearVisn.

    Thanks/regards,

    Hi,

    	What version of MCM are you running? Also, was the FW upgrade to
        the AGL2+ the only change made? Did MCM experience a crash prior
        to the AGL2+ upgrade?

    Regards,
    Bob

3525.2MCM crashHGOVC::SHUMCFTue May 14 1996 10:3812
    The version of MCM is beta X.5.0.1 which is installed from a gold-plate CD
    brought by the NPBU people. The MCM still works with FGL2 and FGL4
    upgraded with the latest ver. 3.0.1. After we put the AGL2+ with ver
    3.0.1. The MCM exhibits the error and can not started. However, MCM can
    work without AGL2+(ver 3.0.1)

    Hope it can help you to identify the problem.

    Thanks/regards,

    we're trying to install clearvisn x1015_32.zip and we're getting
    prompted for a license number. We were under the impression
    that one wasn't needed (IE: just enter CR).

    re:.2

    I believe that the crash which you're experiencing may be related to
    a bug we had drawing certain PMD types in an AGL card. You may want
    to try the latest baselevel.

    Regards,
    Bob
