3455.0. "WFWG IP Stack or NT Client 32 BIT IP Stack" by NETRIX::"[email protected]" (Steven Freke) Tue Apr 16 1996 06:10

Folks
I have noticed a very strange problem on a customer site, and it is
turning very nasty. We have the following setup that does not work.

DECHUB900 V4.1.1 or V4.1.0
Portswitch 900TP V2.1.0
HUBwatch for DOS V4.1.1 with the WFWG IP Stack or the WIN NT Client IP Stack

However the setup below does seem to work.

DECHUB900 V4.1.0
PORTswitch 900TP V2.1.0
HUBwatch for DOS V4.1.1 with the WIN95 32 bit IP Stack.

When I say it does not work I mean that the TP is acting as the IP services
module. When you look at the physical view of the Hub, you cant see anything
in the hub, it takes a long time to do this, and there are also no power
supplies. When going into the environmental summary you can see power
consumption but you cannot see the modules.

The HUB backplane has been swapped, and so have the TP's. Anyone have nay ideas.

Regards

Folks
Sorry I was passed on incorrect information.
In the working setup the version on the hub is V4.0.1 not V4.1.0 as previously
stated.

There was no hub version V4.0.1. There was a V4.0.2 and a V4.0.4.
In any case, if you are running V4.1.x of HUBwatch, you should
be running V4.1.0 or V4.1.1 of the HUB 900 firmware.
