Hubwatch for a GigaSwitch How do I setup management of a GigaSwitch? I have a loaner with 2 FDDI cards. I have no ethernet... I tried setting an IP address on all cards/ports of the gigaswitch hoping to just, hubwatch -x 'ip_address'. Does anyone have any ideas? thanks, /Mic

...that should be sufficient. As I mentioned in the similar note in the GIGASWITCH notes conference, you should read note 265.1 in the GIGASWITCH notes conference to check for the common mistakes... MDL | |||||

Remember, the GIGASWITCH uses the MAC address as community string....and you need to be connected to the FDDI to manage it.... (The MAC address is on the front of one of the cards and note also that they KEYswitch must be in the proper position - there is a position that disables all SNMP access....!) j |
