3337.0. "Dechub90 Screws do not fit" by CHEFS::BEVIS_S (I've had my payrise carbon dated) Thu Mar 07 1996 09:26
Hi,
Is any one else getting this problem?
We seem to be supplying DECHUBs 90 backplanes with two versions of
the back panel, 74-41865-01 rev B02 and B03. The unpainted fabrication
is the rev B03 and the painted version is rev B02.
The trouble is that the screws supplied, that fit the back panel to the
rack mount brackets, only fit the rev B02. It appears that the B03 has a
different thread and the screws haven't been changed to fit this new
thread.
I know that this is a small problem, but it is a source of iritation to
the customer, who often demands a new backplane.
Is manufaturing (or the persons who assemble the bits prior to
dispatch) aware of the problem?
thanks in anticipation
Steve Bevis
